Families across Wichita are working harder than ever, yet too many are falling behind. Rent continues to rise, groceries cost more than ever, childcare remains out of reach for many caregivers, and wages haven’t kept pace with the cost of living. That’s why Jessica will fight for policies that support working Kansans, lowering the everyday burden.
DEMOCRACY
Protecting Your Vote
Jessica knows how important it is to protect your vote. Democracy works best when everyone can participate. She will support secure and accessible elections, protecting voting rights that are constantly under attack in our own backyard, increasing civic engagement at all levels, and ensuring government remains accountable to the people it serves.
PUBLIC EDUCATION
Strong Public Schools, Strong Kansas
Strong public schools are the foundation of strong communities. Jessica supports fully funding public education and special education, increasing support and pay for teachers and school staff, and ensuring every student has a real opportunity to succeed. She believes Kansas should invest in classrooms, give educators the resources they need, and make sure students can learn in safe, supportive environments. Strong schools help prepare the next generation while strengthening neighborhoods and communities across our state.

Things Shouldn’t Be This Hard
A lot of departments within the State of Kansas are operating with deprecated systems that need modernized. Modernization should make it easier for Kansans to access the services they need. Government should be understandable, accessible, and responsive. Jessica will work to improve communication, increase transparency, and help Kansans stay informed without having to spend hours following legislation, committee hearings, and political news.

No More Sweetheart Deals
Jessica believes our tax and economic policies should prioritize working families, seniors, and small businesses—not just those already doing well. That means rebalancing the tax burden so that those with the greatest ability to contribute pay their fair share, while providing meaningful relief to families struggling with rising costs. The measure of a strong economy isn’t how well the wealthiest are doing—it’s whether working people can thrive.
AFFORDABLE HEALTHCARE
Healthcare Shouldn’t Be A Luxury
No one should have to choose between their health and their finances. Jessica supports expanding affordable healthcare access, including Medicaid expansion, while strengthening hospitals and healthcare services that Kansas communities rely on. Kansas remains one of a small number of states that has not expanded Medicaid eligibility, despite years of debate and repeated proposals to do so, with consistent support from the majority of Kansans.
